In the last decade, we've seen a rising wave of celebrity moms over forty.
They, however unintentionally, have formed a famous, trend-setting league of granny-aged screen goddesses, who confidently conceive and give birth (almost literally) upon the stage of public purview.
A-list celebs with big bang box office draw, the ones who have actually garnered public respect and may actively be called "role models" are having midlife babies in increasing numbers.
Lisa Marie Presley has twins in Oct 2008 at age 40.
They include household names such as Lisa Marie Presley, Madonna, Annette Bening, Juliane Moore, Helena Bonham Carter, who all had babies at 41. Then there are the truly mid-life celebrity moms including Chrissie Brinkley and Geena Davis who had babies at 46, along with Marcia Cross from Desperate Housewives who became a mom at 45.
The list continues to grow with Nicole Kidman, Lisa Marie Presley, Jennifer Beals, Emma Thompson, Selma Hayek Nancy Grace— and many more— all having children after the age of forty.
In Nov 2007, Nancy Grace gave birth to twins at 48.
And last, but not least, my hero (or heroine— a gender definition befuddled by the political incorrectness of actress vs. actor— so bear with me here!),
